Dr Mir is a Fellowship-trained Pain Medicine Specialist holding the FFPMANZCA (Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA) and a Master of Pain Medicine from the University of Sydney. He completed adult pain medicine training at Liverpool and Nepean Hospitals, with additional paediatric chronic pain training at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
An examiner and supervisor of training with the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Dr Mir brings expertise in interventional procedures, regenerative therapies including PRP and cell therapy, medicinal cannabis prescribing, and multimodal pain management. He also holds qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis.

Referrals can be sent via any of these channels. We accept GP, specialist, and WorkCover referrals. Please include relevant imaging reports and medication lists.
Yes. A valid GP or specialist referral is required for Medicare rebates and to ensure continuity of care. For WorkCover patients, we accept referrals with an approved claim number. Your referral is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Please bring your referral letter, Medicare card, private health insurance details (if applicable), WorkCover claim information (if applicable), any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT scans — even on disc or USB), a list of current medications, and any previous specialist reports. Arriving 10 minutes early allows time for paperwork.
We welcome WorkCover, Medicare, privately insured, and private-pay patients. Medicare rebates apply to all consultations and most procedures. Private health insurance may provide additional rebates for day hospital procedures. For WorkCover patients, we accept approved claims and can assist with the referral and approval process. Our reception team can provide a detailed fee schedule when you book.

We aim to see urgent referrals within one week and routine referrals within two weeks. Once your referral is received, our team will contact you within 48 hours to schedule your appointment.
